Guess where we are now?

If you haven't read the first blog of the night, Gracie is in the hospital she was on the floor for 6 hours before she needed to be moved down to the PICU for higher oxygen needs. So she is now on high flow of 8 with and FIO2 of 90, Gracie is still only sating in the low 70s. There is talk of possible CPAP, but I did warn them of what may happen, so as of right now they are holding put.

I knew the nurse that got Gracie so since I haven't slept really well in days, I got a room over at the Guest house and hope Grace stays stable and we both can rest. So I will post more tomorrow, just wanted to give a quick update.

Croup is no fun. Jacob recently got over it. He has had it twice this winter. I hope your PICU stay is short! Good luck!

Hugs & Prayers,
Christina

Deanna, I am so sorry. You deserved a very long break from that place. We hope she gets out of there very soon.

Oh, Deanna, I'm so sorry. I have been wondering how your sweet Grace is doing. I hope and pray her stay there will be short.

I get so angry when I read about their stupid paging system. It's horrible that they made you wait an hour to talk to a nurse about an EMERGENCY. I'm so sorry. Stay strong! Don't back down! Show those people up there that you know your girl better than they do!

I'm praying for you and your family.

I was just up there today for cardiology and stopped by the PICU to visit Carolyn. I would have loved to stop by and bring you a treat. Sorry that you are back.

Praying that your stay is short and you are all getting some rest.
Have you tried calling the hospital operator and having the on call cardiologist paged yourself. Not sure if this works during regular hours but I would try next time.

I'm sorry that your back at the hospital, but glad it isn't because of her heart. I hope she overcomes the croup quickly and gets back home where you need her.
